Winner of the prestigious CEDIA Awards 2019 in the Best Home Cinema – EMEA Level 1 category, this project perfectly illustrates Hi-Concept’s expertise in designing fully integrated, bespoke private theaters.
The Genesis: A Childhood Dream
This unique project was born from a client’s childhood dream: to own both a reference-level home cinema and a Ferrari. The guiding idea was to unite these two passions in a single space, built as an extension to an existing garage.
More than just a room, this space had to become a true symbol of a life’s journey and dreams. It needed to retain a touch of automotive nostalgia while delivering cutting-edge audio-visual technology.

A Major Architectural and Acoustic Challenge
The primary challenge for our engineering team was to design a custom private cinema perfectly integrated into the specific shape and metallic structure of a garage. The goal was to accept zero compromises on sound quality, visual immersion, and overall aesthetics.
Invisible Integration for Ultimate Immersion
To guarantee optimal acoustic performance in such an environment, the room required heavy engineering:
- Total Decoupling: The structure was entirely isolated from the surrounding metallic envelope using a “room-within-a-room” concept.
- Strict Partitioning: The theater was hermetically separated from the rest of the garage to prevent any noise pollution from the vehicle.
- Acoustic Treatment: The space was equipped with four distinct levels of acoustic treatment, ensuring immersive and surgically precise sound reproduction.
Simple and Intuitive Operation
Hi-Concept paid particular attention to the total concealment of high-tech equipment. Technology had to fade away to let the experience shine. Despite the project’s technical complexity, daily use remains deliberately simple. All functionalities—audiovisual, lighting, and climate control—are centralized and managed via a single elegant remote.
Through bespoke smart home programming, we created lifestyle scenes instantly accessible via a sleek four-button wall keypad:
Cinema Session, Reading, Ambient Lounge, Cleaning, and All Off.
